Abhijeet Lakhia’s first job as an architect; when he was an apprentice for Peter Eisenman in New York City was to design and build John and Kinnari’s store in NOLITA. It was a hands on collaborative effort.

Abhijeet later went on to work for Eisenman Architects on prestigious projects such as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Berlin and the City of Galicia in Santiago de Compostella, Spain. 

Abhijeet is an associate with Gran Kriegel Associates, New York City. They primarily design NYC public schools, specialty housing, office interiors, high end apartment renovations and the refurbishment of the city’s Landmarks.

Mr. Lakhia is also the Principal Architect and owner of Adaptive Response Architects and Designers, ARAD, Goa.

He has done extensive reconstruction and conservation architecture for the past twenty years in cities such as Ahmedabad, New York, Kutch, Leh and in the state of Goa in India.
